BBAW Post #1 – Celebrating Book Blogs

As part of Book Blogger Appreciation Week, book bloggers have been encouraged to post each day about a particular topic. Here's today's topic:

The first day of BBAW, Monday September 14th, we encourage you to write a post thanking and spotlighting your favorite blogs that didn’t make the shortlists.

Here are few book blogs that I enjoy that aren't on any of the shortlists (and may not have opted to be part of BBAW):

Books for Breakfast - Kristen's was one of the first book blogs I discovered back in 2006. I love her direct, honest style, and the breadth of books she reads.

Breaking the Spine - Jill and I always seem to be reading some of the same books. Reading her blog is like talking to a friend about books.

The Savvy Reader - Deanna writes this Harper Collins Canada blog, which often has good industry news sprinkled in with reviews and posts that demonstrate a great passion about the industry.

Blogging 'bout Books - Susan's blog is just a pleasure to read. And I love the titles of her posts.

BBAW2 The book blog community has grown so much – it's almost overwhelming! It can take me hours to get through my Google reader, just staying caught up on the book-related posts. But this is a good thing – don't get me wrong – I love how this community gets people talking and reading. And these four are great resources for me and also a pleasure to read – thanks for the effort and the posts!!

Tomorrow, I will feature an interview with Sherry, the author of the Semicolon blog (and she will post an interview with me). Stay tuned…
